Salvadoran tamales are made in plantain leaves, and the masa (corn meal) is often seasoned with chicken stock or bouillon.

Panes Con Pavo/Pollo means “turkey bread or chicken bread”. The sandwich includes chicken or turkey with lettuce, cucumber, radish, tomato & watercress and salsa roja (a Salvadorian red sauce)
